Leica UCT Ultramicrotome - motorized

The ultrathin sections float on the water surface of diamond's boat
and they are collected at the water surface, with help of a eyelash brush, on a grid covered with a formvar film.

The Leica UCT microtome is also used for semi thin section (1 μm) made either with a glass knife or with a Histocut diamond knife.
