Different protocols of stainings are uded to visualize them among which \u00ab\u00a0methylen blue &#8211; basic fuchsin (<a href=\"https:\/\/michelecrevecoeur.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/MB-FB-staining-semithin-sections.pdf\">Staining protocol BM BF<\/a>).\u00a0<br \/>Cellulosic cell walls are stained red to pink, the cytoplasm , the nucleus and some cellular organelles are stained blue.<br \/>Below: illustration of this staining applied to a semi thin Epon cross section in a primary <em>Zea mays<\/em> root. The section has been made at level of the root cap.
