Origin of roots: seeds from C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire germinated and cultured in a multiplication greenhouse in Conservatory and Botanical Garden of the city of Geneva.<\/p>

The sections have been made by Susanne Mogue Kamga a Master Student in the laboratory of Dr Fred Stauffer\u00a0\u2013 palm Biologist<\/a> responsible of the Micro Morphology Lab. The sections have been made through roots of the species\u00a0\u00ab\u00a0Raphia hookeri G. Mann & H. Wendl \u00ab\u00a0<\/em>. The samples have been embedded in Technovit (see\u00a0page protocols), sectioned and stained with Toluidine blue.<\/p>
